MSF HOSTS ANNUAL NURSE SYMPOSIA AT SEA
In collaboration with the International Organization of MS Nurses, the MSF hosts an annual Multiple Sclerosis Nurse Update Meeting aboard a magnificent cruise ship.
This innovative program, presented by MS nurses from top MS centers across the country and Canada, is designed for nurses and multidisciplinary specialists who are interested in better understanding and treating MS.
Curriculum focus is on clinical practice, advocacy, education, and research, with separate tracks for nurses and multidisciplinary specialists, as well as educational activities for both groups to learn together.
This is an ideal way for nurses to prepare or update for the International Organization of MS Nurses’ certification board examination, and may also be applied to recertification credits.
Attendees earn contact hours through the Texas Nurses’ Association, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
"This cruise was a wonderful opportunity to network with other nurses and learn a wealth of new information in a lovely, tropical setting," said first-year attendee Jan Shilling of the University of Washington Western MS Center. "It was a great combination of education and relaxation as well as good food and companionship. I’ve never attended a better conference!"
"There’s no better way to prepare or update for the IOMSN certification board exam," said Michelle Jungbauer, a BETA Nurse from Denver, Colorado.
Space for this program is limited and passports are required. For more information, call Fun Cruise & Travel toll-free at 1-888-826-9660.
