Researchers seeking participants for fatigue study

June 03, 2026
Researchers are seeking participants for a nondrug, fully remote digital therapeutic program designed to help people with multiple sclerosis manage moderate-to-severe fatigue. The researchers encourage Black and Hispanic ethnicities, male, and rural candidates to participate to ensure the findings apply to a broad MS population.

Participants in this iConquerMS study are being asked to complete surveys and engage with the online program during a 24-week period. Any adult older than 22 years old may participate. Medications for fatigue are allowed – participants can already be taking or start taking medications or other fatigue treatments and still qualify for the study.

Eligibility criteria includes:
  • Moderate to severe fatigue that interferes with daily life
  • A confirmed MS diagnosis from a neurologist
  • Live in the U.S. or U.S. territories
  • Be at least 22 years old (no maximum age limit)
  • Fluent in English
  • Access to the internet and email
  • Willing to use an online program for 24 weeks
Exclusion criteria includes:
  • Participation in another interventional study
  • MS relapse or new disease-modifying therapy start within the last four weeks (able to enter study after four weeks. Switching therapies or receiving steroids during the trial will not affect participant's ability to continue in the study).
This trial is funded by the Department of Defense MS Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program and is being conducted by iConquerMS in collaboration with the VA MS Centers of Excellence across the United States.

iConquerMS is a people-powered research network of more than 10,000 individuals affected by MS. As part of the Accelerated Cure Project for MS, the group brings together patients, providers, and researchers to accelerate discoveries and translate them into real-world improvements in MS care.
