MSF Staffer Participates in National Merit Review Panel MSF’s Support Groups and Outreach Manager Alissa Ayden was selected to be a merit reviewer of research applications for the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), a nonprofit organization that was authorized by Congress in 2010. PCORI will be funding up to $50 million this year in comparative clinical effectiveness research/patient-centered outcomes research related to the treatment of MS. In May, Alissa flew to Washington, D.C., to participate in a two-day meeting of the merit review panel to further discuss and critique the submitted applications. The announcement of funding awards tooke place during a PCORI Board of Governors meeting in July, which was held via teleconference and open to the public. In the Office Matthew Martin is a part-time Programs and Services clerk. He makes sure that clients and support groups across the nation receive the publications and materials they need in a timely fashion.When he is not supporting the coordinators in the office, he is running a freelance business where he provides full post-production services for video, which includes video editing, color-correction, and motion graphics design. “I love working at the MSF.
