Torbjørn Laundal: For me, the biggest “therapy” has honestly been building a consistent daily structure
around movement. I do a lot of indoor rowing (every single day), combined with simple strength work
and mobility. Nothing fancy — just consistent.
Brandie Peterson: Reflexology. It works to improve my energy levels and sleep quality. Also greatly
reduces chance of migraine, which is huge.
Emily Blunt: I do physical therapy a few times a week. My limbs stretched as my legs no longer work.
This keeps my ankles strong for transfers and limbs less spastic.
Alicia Silver: Aquatic therapy in South America helped me reconnect with my body in ways I didn’t
expect. Now I focus on balance work on my own terms — listening, adjusting, and honoring what my
body needs. Sharing these experiences matters because our stories shape understanding and help
others find their own silver lining in this journey.

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: Four decades of
MS Focus is the theme for the National Mul
tiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness
Month®. The theme includes information that
can be used to stay connected to yourself, your
health, and your community while looking
ahead to what the future of MS holds.
Things have shifted in the MS space, with
40 years of breakthroughs in diagnoses,
treatment options, access, and societal changes.
Treatments that were once considered
complementary and alternative medicine are
now often prescribed in supplement with
pharmaceutical drugs. The number of DMTs
have exploded numerously and diagnoses are
being made earlier with scientific research.
Communities have expanded along with
support structures in how MS is discussed
and can be supported
Booklets containing information to help
individuals with MS, alongside those who
have loved ones with the autoimmune disorder.
Subscribers to this magazine receive their
copy automatically. To order additional
copies of the booklet, call our support line at
888-673-6287 or order online at msfocus.org
and we will be sure to send it to you.
