Its purpose is to share the activities and ideas of people around the country in the foundations affiliated support groups as well as information about outreach, advocacy, and living positively with MS. The MS Focus does not advocate or endorse any specific treatments, healing modalities, or practitioners. The material presented in this publication is for informational purposes only. For specific advice, consult your healthcare provider. Dear Friends, I started working in the Support Groups Department this past October. I quickly realized that this was a wonderful place to work and I truly look forward to coming here every day. MS Focus has recently gone through several exciting changes – a new website, a new logo, and a fresh look to our MS Focus Magazine. But, the most bittersweet change is that Alissa Ayden has moved on from MS Focus in order to pursue her MBA at Columbia University. While we are sad to see her go, we are incredibly excited to see what the next chapter holds in store for her. I am honored to have been chosen to fill the role of Support Groups Coordinator. I really enjoyed working with Alissa and, just like her, we will now be changing and growing as our next chapter begins to unfold. I am confident that as we move forward, we will continue to do great things together! In keeping with MS Focus’ drive to consistently improve our services, the EmpowerSource will be going through some big changes soon. I am excited to be a part of these changes, as well as part of the many initiatives taking place within our Independent Support Group Network. Mostly, I am thrilled to help make a difference in the lives of those affected by MS. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together. Sincerely, Kathryn Bradbury Support Groups Coordinator
