These people will become leaders in the MS community by: • Representing MS Focus and connecting people with its programs and services. • Attending local and regional MS Focus events. • Working with MS Focus to organize and host fundraising and awareness events. • Speaking at support groups and health fairs. • Participating in public outreach, and more! Ambassadors will have the chance to participate in leadership training to help them become advocates for MS Focus, and work closely with MS Focus to help meet their advocacy goals. Please note that while Ambassadors will have opportunities to raise awareness about MS in their communities, they will primarily be responsible for raising awareness about MS Focus programs and services. Official Guidelines, Applications must meet the following criteria: • Applications must include a typed essay, 1,000 words or less, and a photo. • All materials submitted to MS Focus will not be returned. • Applications must be postmarked or time-stamped by April 15, 2017. • Ambassadors grant MS Focus the right to use their name and photograph in connection with this program. • Ambassadors may be asked to travel within their region to attend MS Focus programs. • Ambassadors may be asked to speak with members of the media about MS.
