For the past 15 years, Cherie has operated a home-based patient advocacy business helping people identify the questions to be asked of their healthcare team. She serves as a member of the MS Lived Experience Advisory Panel for MS Focus, and is the Patient Healthcare Liaison for the organization.Tyler Brown, Psy.D., is a rehabilitation psychologist at Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenville, S.C. Prior to moving to Greenville, Dr. Brown worked at Shepherd Center in Atlanta. He is passionate about serving patients with a variety of neurological and physical conditions, helping them achieve their full potential, and guiding them through adverse periods so they may live fulling lives. In his free time, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family and two cats, being outdoors, lifting weights, and training Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Joanne Fortunato is a retired computer technology teacher in Venice, Fla. Diagnosed in 2006, she uses technology to cope with the many difficulties that MS can present. Nichole Goble is the current director of Community Initiatives at Caregiver Action Network. She has been with the organization since 2017. As part of her role as director of Community Initiatives, she manages activities and programs with nonfunding community partners and moderates caregiver roundtables and learning collaboratives. She brings a unique perspective to her role, being an individual with a disability that has been on both sides of the caregiving relationship. Jaitrali Jhanjiharya After a successful career of more than 20 years in marketing, Jaitrali saw a need and reinvented herself as a psychotherapist specializing in assisting individuals with autoimmune disease. With more than five years of experience in her new field, she brings a unique perspective to treating the mental effects of autoimmune conditions such as MS, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis, drawing from personal experience with MS and Crohn's disease.Michelle Marques completed degrees in biomedical engineering systems and occupational therapy at Tufts University, with a specic interest in pursuing a career in assistive technology. She has been working with MS patients in physical rehab settings such as the Spaulding Rehab, in Boston, and Shepherd Center, in Atlanta, since 2015, focusing on computer and mobile device access, environmental control, communication, school and work tasks, and aides for vision, cognition and executive function, and hearing. Brian Smith is a physical therapist and a neurologic clinical specialist. He graduated from the University of Utah as a doctor of physical therapy and specialized in neurology.He has more than 15 years of experience in spinal cord injury, brain injury, and multiple sclerosis.
