b'4. What advice would you give to others who are trying to give back?I would tell them not to be afraid, and if they have a vision, make it happen. We often let fear overcome us, but if you are constantly fearful of trying new things, then youre missing out on so many incredible opportunities.5. What did you learn from doing this, and what are your future goals? I learned I could do anything I set my mind to. What started as a thought became a goal. That goal became reality. When I was diagnosed in 2018, I never would have imagined one day I would have my very own walk in the community. What started as something small (initially, I sold pins) became bigger than myself. I learned to be kind, patient, condent, and outspoken. Along the way, I developed leadership skills, and to this day, I will always ght for what I believe in and advocate for TMS/MS. One of my biggest goals is to establish my own TMS/MS nonprofit organization, which allows me to support my peers. When planning events, start small and build from there. A lot of time and planning go into events, especially walks, so make sure you have the right support group to help you. I am deeply grateful to my family, friends, spouse, community, and peers. Their love and support gave me so much strength. The strength I needed, so I can help change the world with them by my side. The last piece of advice I would like to give is never to dim your light for anyone or anything. The journey is not easy, and there are tough times ahead. Having MS is not for the faint of heart, and there will be times when you want to give up. But dont ever give up and keep shining your light because others see you as a beacon in their journeys, too. And never let anyone tell you that you arent enough because you are more than enough and then some. Theres only one you in the world, remember that.
