How does one choose the most appropriate one? In this program, Dr. Ben Thrower navigated through the available options and examined the horizon for what the future may hold. Nutrition and Supplements for MS Dr. Susan Payrovi revealed the best diets for managing MS, supported by scientic research and her extensive clinical experience with thousands of patients facing autoimmune conditions, including MS. She offered simple, actionable steps to make lasting dietary changes to enhance mood, reduce anxiety, and alleviate fatigue and pain. Payrovi shared key supplements that can complement MS treatments and optimize health. MS and Mental Health Pearl Werfel focused on maintaining mental wellness while living with MS. Whether newly diagnosed or having lived with MS for a long time, an essential aspect of living well with MS is attending to mental and emotional health. Participants explored coping and how and when acceptance and action can be powerful mental health resources. MS in the Workplace In this presentation, Phillip Rumrill answered questions about employment that people with MS have posed in his research and direct-service projects. During the program, participants learned about their legal rights in the workplace, strategies for disclosing disability status to an employer and requesting reasonable accommodations, tips for entering, re-entering, and staying in the labor force as long as they wish to do so, and how to navigate the disability benets system to their best advantage in the career decision-making process.
