msfocusmagazine.org 6 Dear MS Focus, Many lives are being touched through my message of perseverance, while I'm fighting through a 10-yearbattlewith multiple sclerosis. My desire is to inspire those who are enduring any adversity that MS brings and encourage those who have lost hope. I’ve posted several inspiring and motivating videos through my social media platforms. (You can check out some of my posts on Instagram: ms_is_ms). I wanted to know how could I be featured in your magazine sharing my journey with MS? Thank you. Armond Moore Dear Armond, Great question! We imagine that many readers wonder how we select the individuals that we feature in our Spotlight column, and the My Story feature in each issue. Be sure to include contact information, and tell us how you (or your nominee) work to create better days for the MS community. What challenges have you faced and how did you overcome them? These are the types of questions that My Story addresses. For example, in this issue, family studies researcher Darbi Haynes-Lawrence shares a moving account of how her multiple sclerosis symptoms drew unwanted attention to her and her child. Learn how Darbi “flipped the script” to turn a painful moment into an opportunity to prepare her daughter for future challenges. (See the account on page 50.) The only one who can share your My Story experience isyou.Tellyourstoryin 800 – 1000 words, and submit it to editor@msfocus.org. Our editorial committee reviews and replies to all submissions. Dear MS Focus, I really appreciated your recent article on cognitive challenges in MS.
