b'My name is Robert Gillett I identify as a poet with MS The place I most actively participate in the MS community is my online page, Beneath the Tracksuit. Im also a member of a few inspiring MS support groups. What I feel I bring to the MS community is a sense of familiarity, to let people know they are not alone. To help show others it\'s okay to be open about ourselves, how MS affects us and the challenges which we face. What I feel I get from my participation in the MS community is friendship, others who can understand the world I live in and cast no judgement. There is a massive support network for people with MSI speak with people all over the world, many just looking for a friend to understand just like I am. My name is Darbi Haynes-LawrenceI identify as an educator, a researcher, an author, and a parent with MS. The way I most actively participate in the MS community is through education at the university level, community service in elementary schools, and through the design of studies, data collection, and published research. I love breaking data down for our community, especially through childrens books. I am the author of two childrens books published by MS Focus, with a third coming out soon. What I feel I bring to the MS community is humor through education and writing. What I feel I get from my participation in the MS community is I receive an amazing amount of encouragement, gratication, and excitement through my role as an educator, researcher, and writer. It is a phenomenal feeling to know you\'ve positively impacted a family, taught a young person, and see what they\'ve learned come to life.My name is Shawn FelicianoI identify as Hispanic professional with MSThe way I most actively participate in the MS community is by participating in research projects or with research organizations like iConquerMS.org.What I feel I bring to the MS community: My years of being inquisitive about the disease have given me the opportunity to open up questions about MS and Latinos/people of color. I believe that this has allowed a new way of looking at issues that might not be common among "mainstream" MS patients. What I feel I get from my participation in the MS community is that I am part of the solution now and as a result am more active in how MS affects people of different nationalities. I see my participation as a way of encouraging others to do the same. 15'
