Social wellness can be especially important when you are battling an ongoing disease where there are ups and downs, both possibly occurring within the same day at times. Relationships and healthy interactions with others whom you trust can provide support when you are facing challenges related to your physical wellness (i.e., fatigue, muscle spasms, numbness) or your mental and emotional wellness (such as a triggering moment or a tough day overall). Strong social connections can help to alleviate those moments of isolation in which you feel your MS has taken over and there may be no relief in sight.
