Educational and Awareness Month® (NMSEAM) in March. In the world we live in, it’s easy to get distracted. So much information – and misinformation – surrounds us. It can make it very difficult to know which course of action to choose. In order to make the choices that lead us to our goals, we must remain focused. Focus is vital. When it comes to MS, focusing on what we can do helps us clearly see what challenges may arise, develop strategies to overcome them, and keep making forward progress. Focus can help us to distinguish how MS differs for each person. We can confidently determine that a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment doesn’t work, and become advocates for patient- centered care. Focus gives us a clear, realistic view of MS. We are able to identify others’ misconceptions and educate others by being a visible part of the MS community. . What if you’ve lost your focus, or haven’t been focused on positive goals? National Multiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness Month® is a great time to change your focus.
