A: MS Focus helps our support group throughout the year, so we want to return that with our thanks! Q: Why did you choose this type of event? A: We chose a car show because it is an easy fundraiser. It is a judged contest where car and motorcycle owners give a $10 donation to enter. Muscle Car City is very gracious to us. They create the flyer, supply us with a space, and even help promote our show at the other shows they go to. Q: What elements of the event were the most challenging? A: There aren’t a lot of car shows in our immediate area, so getting flyers to the people that attend the shows can be a challenge. We don’t want to pester anyone, but we want the event to be a success. Q: What did you learn from the process of creating this event? A: Every year is a learning experience. Each year we get more tips on how to advertise. This year, a car show magazine advertised our show at no cost to us. Q: What do you think others should know about your experience creating and holding this event? A: The camaraderie of our group is awesome, so that makes whatever we do a lot of fun. Finding the right sponsor is a must. We are so lucky to have an incredible sponsor like Muscle Car City. They make the experience really easy. Q: List one interesting fact about yourself. A: I was a pianist until my MS.
