17 msfocusmagazine.org In a strange twist, MS now plays a part in her personal life as well as her professional one. “Several people in my life now are part of the MS community. My ties to MS aren’t just through work. It’s ironic, but my mother was diagnosed with MS after I became involved with MS Focus.” Herdeep ties to MS and the MS community are clearlyshown through Ellen’s bodyofwork. “I regularly present on MS at medical meetings and I’ve published over 100 articles. I was honored to be a speaker at the Consortium of MS Centers’ annual meeting in New Orleans earlier this year.” Outside of a busy work schedule, Ellen juggles family beach trips, gardening, and motherhood. “I always show support for UGA football – go Dawgs!” And, after more than a decade of service, her drive to work with MS Focus remains as strong as ever. “Working with MS Focus is always a feel-good job for me. The MS community needs help, and being a part of an organization that offers that help makes me happy.” See Ellen’s latest article on page 50. Have questions for Ellen? Email support@msfocus.org.
