Find people in this circle that you can connect with who understand what you are going through. This might be a friend, someone else you know who has MS, or a support group. Make time to connect with these people regularly. Really get to know one another. The more you know about each other the more comfortable you’ll feel sharing your experiences. Talking and sharing is good for the soul! Of course, it is also important to learn how to recognize which relationships have a positive effect and which ones may cause tension or stress. Focus on building those relationships that strengthen and encourage you. Doing so will help you to improve the quality of your well-being. MS Focus has resources and articles to assist in the development or improvement of relationships. We also have a large network of independent support groups. Please feel free to contact us and speak with someone in the Support Groups department for more information.
