It signals the transition from youth to full adulthood – the prime of life. At 30, a person typically has a strong sense of identity; they recognize their strengths and assets, and know the extent of their capabilities. They still have youthful vigor and enthusiasm, but also have the insight, empathy, and responsibility that comes from life experience. It is surprisingly similar for an organization. Here, at MS Focus, we know who we are – an organization that cares deeply about helping people with MS find better days. We recognize our strengths and assets in caring for your critical needs, and know we are capable of having a positive influence in your life, no matter what challenges MS brings. We are still as enthusiastic about the work we do as we were 30 years ago. And, more than anything, our journey, evolution, and experiences thoughout the last three decades have given us the perspective we need to help people across the country. So, rather than just a look back, this special section also focuses on showing you who we are now, and what is ahead for our partnership with the MS community. You’ll notice a new, easy-to-read design for MS Focus Magazine. Similar changes have been made to the organization’s website, msfocus.org, and the magazine’s online home at msfocusmagazine.org. You’ll find all the same helpful information for managing life with MS, but presented in a way that makes it easier to read, remember, and reference later. These changes were made with you in mind, and we welcome your feedback. You can share your opinions by emailing editor@msfocus.org. At 30, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is fully embracing our identity as an organization that is solely focused on the person with MS and those who care for them. We are MS Focus. Sincerely, Kasey Minnis Editor-in-Chief MS Focus Magazine
