Peer Counseling Program launched. 1991 MSFocus begins as a four-page newsletter. 1992 Begin active outreach to people with MS, calling back those who have requested information to see what needs they may have. Responding to needs, board expands focus to offer direct services. National Independent Support Group Network initiated. 1993 Went online with our first website and email service. First MS medication becomes FDA approved. Offer our first live educational programs. 1994 In-house research library converted to national Lending Library Program. Dual milestones of 50 available MSF publications and 50 support groups. MS Focus Milestone Timeline 1994 Pilot program to provide homecare for people with MS begins in two states. 1995 Create online forums for peer support and questions for our medical advisors. Homecare pilot program expands to 40 cities around the US. Pilot program to provide durable medical equipment launched in limited areas. MSFYi launched. 1996 Internet presence moves to the World Wide Web. Home Care Assistance Program expands to nationwide coverage. 1997 Equipment Program expands to nationwide coverage. Buddy program connects individuals with MS for peer support. 1999 Host first educational webinars in English and Spanish. 2000 Equipment Program expands to include aids for daily living, becomes Assistive Technology Program. Bert Warshaw Memorial Grant started. (later renamed Brighter Tomorrow Grant). 2001 CAM program begins to offer classes such as yoga, T’ai Chi, and aquatics. First Cruise for a Cause® sets sail.
