Percentage of readers who said they had taken action as a result of an article in this magazine. 6,000 Embracing MS Focus Since the early 1990s, the name MS Focus has been associated with the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. It was first used as the name of our magazine, chosen to make clear the intense focus we give to the needs of people with MS. Later, it was used as the address of our website (msfocus.org), and our Helpline phone number (888-MSFocus). Many people throughout the MS community began to refer to us simply as MS Focus. Still, we felt it was important that our full name, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, be used to quickly and easily identify us as a trusted nonprofit foundation. In connection with our 30th anniversary, we were ready to update our look, but we were in a quandary. How could our new branding really capture all that we are as an organization? We are a charitable foundation, with the high standards of stewardship that implies. We are also a caring group of individuals, focused closely on finding ways to better the lives of people affected by MS. We wanted the new logo and design to clearly reflect these qualities, but without losing either of the names that have become synonymous with the quality of help we provide. With deliberate care, we chose to balance both identities. Our new logo identifies us as MS Focus: the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Question asked: How has MS Focus changed your life? Brenda D.
