I was diagnosed with MS in 1984. I have relied on your magazine and learn something new with each issue. I’m so grateful for the vast world of knowledge that is packed in each issue. Your magazine has helped me go through my life, from a young mom to a grandma, with a positive attitude! I just wanted you to know how much help you have been to encourage those with MS. Wendy O’Connell, Horseheads, N.Y. P.S. When I am done reading your articles, I pass the issue on to a friend in our church. Dear Wendy, Thank you for taking the time to share with us how the magazine has helped you over the years! Our first priority is to make each issue useful to our readers. With our new format, we are intensifying that effort, working to make sure that each article has clear ‘take-home’ points that can be applied to improve your life. We hope you enjoy this new format just as much as the old, and we look forward to you (and your friend from church) being a reader for many more years. Hello, I just wanted to thank the Foundation for their wonderful gift to me, providing a grant for me to be able to use our community center’s indoor pool for water jogging and exercising. The water is fantastic and allows me to move freely and without pain. I can't thank you all enough for the opportunity to go and use the pool. The people at the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation are wonderful. Sincerely, Cathy Condon, York, Neb. Dear Cathy, We are so glad you were able to take advantage of our Health and Wellness Program. In many areas, this program provides group classes for people with MS. In places where there aren’t enough interested people with MS to form a group, our program coordinator will provide grants to help individuals like you enjoy wellness activities that alreadyexist inyourcommunity. (Our readers can learn more about this program by reading the article on page 29.) Hello, I have been unable to find info from reliable sources about diet modification, exercise, and complementary and alternative medicine, including use of supplements, acupuncture, etc. I feel at times, as a patient, I am already oversaturated with medical info and education. Shouldn’t those issues be as important as medication info? I think the inclusion of treatments for the patient as a whole is very, very important and overlooked. I enjoy your magazine! Thanks, Judy Pich Judy, Good news! Your search for reliable information on complementaryand alternative medicine just got easier. You’ll be receiving a package in the mail with our booklets Complementary and Alternative Medicine, The Fitness Prescription, and Nutrition and MS,
