b'Denis GuzmanNominated by Alicia SantagataWoonsocket, R.I.Denis is my girlfriends 14-year-old son and ever since I moved in with her, he has been so helpful. He helps me cook, clean, and is always asking what he can do for me. He has ODD and is on the autism spectrum. He has bonded with me, comes grocery shopping, walks me down the stairs, and helps me on my bad days. Sheena McCartyNominated by Lori Working Sun City, Ariz.A caregiver who goes way above for me, Sheena has been with me for two years. She always makes sure my needs are met. From food prep to keeping my home clean, she is so caring. In June, I had a sudden decline in health. I was in the hospital for 20 days with a bowel obstruction and became septic. I had an NG tube draining my colon, two surgeries, and I was near death. Sheena was the one there for me, even when she was not on the clock. She was the one to take me home and made sure I was taken care of, taking me to follow-up doctor visits, with true care for me. She has been the one who got me through my worst time. The care she provides denitely deserves recognition. With living on my social security disability, I dont have the funds to do a lot to really show my appreciation. This would mean so much to me to show my gratitude. Thank you.Katherine CauseyNominated by Paul CauseyPottstown, Pa.I would like to nominate my wife, Kathy, who had to give up everything since I was diagnosed in 2021 and my MS has progressedto me being in a wheelchair 100% of the time. She has to lift me into bed,shower,andtoilet.Kathyisonly4feet11inches,and130 pounds, and I am 5 feet, 5 inches and 140 pounds. She was very active with school and traveled, and gave up everything. She never complains. She had to learn to take care of all house repairs, etc. She drives me to doctors and anywhere needed. She keeps a positive attitude since she has no one to ask for help if needed. Please allow her a chance to go out to dinner. This is a true love caregiver. 23 msfocusmagazine.org'
