She serves as a member of the MS Lived Experience Advisory Panel for MS Focus, and is the Patient Healthcare Liaison for the organization.Adrienne DeBerry is a clinical pharmacist educator at UWorld. She is also a licensed consultant pharmacist and double-board certified in ambulatory care pharmacy and specialty pharmacy. Dr. DeBerry completed two residencies and has more than 10 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience in various areas, including neurology, specialty pharmacy, and pain management. She is passionate about medication education, patient advocacy, and community outreach.Tiffany J. Braley is an associate professor of neurology and a clinical neuro- immunologist at the University of Michigan who specializes in the treatment of MS. Dr. Braleys research focuses on crucial connections between sleep disorders, the immune system, and neurological disorders (especially as they relate to patients with MS), and the treatment of chronic MS symptoms including fatigue. Dan Digmann and his wife Jennifer have lived with MS for more than 30 years. Jennifer was diagnosed in 1997 and has secondary progressive MS, and Dan was diagnosed in 2000 with relapsing-remitting. They wrote the book Despite MS, to Spite MS.Joanne Fortunato is a retired computer technology teacher in Venice, Fla. Diagnosed in 2006, she uses technology to cope with the many difficulties that MS can present. Ben Thrower is the medical director of the Andrew C. Carlos MS Institute at Shepherd Center. He previously served as the medical director of the Holy Family Multiple Sclerosis Institute in Spokane, Wash. In Spokane, he was the chair of the Inland Northwest Chapter of the NMSS. In 2000, he was awarded the Norm Cohn Hope Chest Award by the National MS Society, recognizing his work with the MS community. In 2005, he was the first physician inductee into the Georgia Chapter of the National MS Society Volunteer Hall of Fame. Dr. Thrower has served the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation for many years as Senior Medical Advisor.Megan Weigel is an advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in the care of MS patients. She received her doctor of nursing practice degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., where her research focus was preventive healthcare in MS patients.
