b'M S Fo c u s e dM S Fo c u s e dUSPS Dedicates Stamp to MSOn World MS Day, the United States Postal Service dedicated a stamp to multiple sclerosis with a presentation to MS Focus: the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Edwin Vivas, U.S. Postal Service Customer Relations Coordinator and Broward County Postal Customer Council co-chairperson, was on hand to make the presentation. The stamp, titled Sunower Bouquet, features five bright sunflowers amidst a colorful bouquet. Kasey Minnis, executive director of MS Focus, said, I appreciate that there are five sunowers,correspondingto what we call the Five Pillars of MSCare, whichincludediet, exercise,stressmanagement, sleep habits, and medication. Thisisabeautifulsymbol representing how people with MS can thrive with such an approach, with help from MS Focus. The selection couldnt be more appropriate for us, said Traci Shur, director of Philanthropy for the Foundation. Sunowers symbolize optimism, and thats the attitude of our organization. Our motto is Lets Find Better Days. Each day we work to create a brighter tomorrow for people with MS and their families. Minnis added, On behalf of the one million Americans with MS, we are grateful for this recognition from our postal service. We hope this stamp will help to raise awareness of the condition and the vital services we provide for those in need.
