b'and poems in college. Exploring my creativitybrought me back to that princess feeling Iused to have as a child. Through the love andprayers of my grandmother and the vigilanceof my mother, not only did I remain hopeful, but I experienced restoration by taking myhealthmoreseriously, learningasmuchabout MS as I could, and understanding whoChrist was. The more I healed from within, the more I became the person I searched foras a youth; that alone gave me the strengthand courage to regain control of my life. I havesince improved my health and wellness, orwhat I like to call twerking my health byworking out, meditation, and dieting. While some of it was trial and error, Iattained a rhythm that works well for me.Since my grandmother passed, I learned thatself-love is self-management. I give myselfgrace each morning I see, maintain a heartof gratitude, travel the world, and do all I canto live a fully-functioning life. I reserved theright to discontinue the use of medicationsthat had adverse eects on my body becauseI opted to take on a holistic approach until amore ecient remedy was available. Finally,I am proud to say that after ve years, my rstbook, My Tiny Spotted Mind: Lessons onPediatric Multiple Sclerosis, will be releasedthis fall; through the grace of God, things arelooking up for me.
